All persons working in the gambling area must have a responsible gambling certificate. If you do not intend to work in the gaming areas, holding the RCG certificate will mean you can cover breaks and/or shifts for other staff, making you more employable.
Refresher training is required every 5 years and is only available through Liquor & Gaming NSW.
The correct name of this program is Provide responsible gambling services (RGS) however most organisations still refer to it's old name
RCG (responsible conduct of gambling). It's all one and the same, as long as the training provider is approved by the Liquor &
Gaming authority to deliver the RCG course.
Any persons working in a gambling area must have this RCG certificate. Areas include:
- Gaming room attendants
- Casino workers
- Security Officers
